Sézane Pop-Up - Washington, District of Columbia

I am beyond thrilled that Sezane has a location so close to me now! I've been one of their online shoppers for a while, and when I found out that they had a pop-up location right in DC I knew I had to go check it out. I was very happy that I visited when their fall collection was out, as I had been eyeing a couple of pieces that I wanted to buy but wanted to see in person first. Although it is a smaller inventory store they have a good selection of both classics and new pieces, including clothing, shoes, bags, and jewelry (for women only). The decor was so cute and every single staff member was very friendly and helpful. I hope this location stays here permanently as I'll be making a few more trips to add a few more of their pieces to my wardrobe!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful at this store, especially Fernanda! LOVE Sezane's sweaters - they are so feminine, unique and made with good materials. Please open a pop-up store in Richmond, VA please!! <3

The store was out of most sizes below a 40 (US L). When I asked one of the sales associates of they had a smaller size of a specific dress she immediately told me that they do not carry that dress in store. I then went on to find the dress myself in a main display area.

When I asked to order the dress in my size the order was placed in store and then immediately cancelled after I left. I was not told why the order was cancelled and then I was also not refunded. When I contacted customer service they told me to reorder the dress online. Since then they still have not refunded my original payment nor have they responded to my messages.

I visited this pop-up twice since they opened. Once on the weekend (Sunday) and once on a weekday (Wednesday). The weekend is tough, I waited 35 minutes to get into the store and it was very hard to get help from the staff. My experience was much better during the week because I was able to ask questions and get help with different sizes quickly. Also, they helped me locate items on the web if the item wasn't in the store. Very friendly service. The store is similar in size to the NYC location. If you know what you want, don't need too much assistance, and are willing to wait, then any day of the week should work for you. The items are good quality and it's a beautiful pop-up.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. No line to get inside but the store was busy.

Came in for the Chlo shirt- they only have the pink, white, white lace and the blue/white cotton available with smallest size in store being the 34.

All the sales associates were so nice and very helpful.

I made a special trip to Georgetown after work just to go to Sezane. I arrived a little before 6pm on a Tuesday only to be turned away despite the posted hours showing the store was open until 7pm. Apparently, they were hosting an invite only event - there was nothing on their website or the door stating they would be closed though. A store should not turn away paying customers during regular business hours. Additionally, I was made to feel uncomfortable as my name wasn’t on “their list.” I won’t be back.

I visited this pop up store on a Thursday afternoon around 3:30pm while I was in DC for work. I was skeptical reading the reviews what I might encounter so sharing this in hopes of helping others:
- no lines to get on the store and not too crowded, easily got into dressing room as needed
- smallish store but good selection of purses, jewelry, shoes, knitwear in limited colors and sizes, and lots of other clothing
- the staff offered to help numerous times, they were very cheerful and kind, eager to find sizes and offer fashion advice
- due to limited sizing on knitwear which is what I wanted, I only bought a Marcelo top but it was cheerfully wrapped and a small free gift included for me
- the knitwear is behind the counter but I think the display sleeves are designed in an odd way and it could easily get disheveled in a free for all
- definitely more items online to choose from but I enjoyed seeing several items in person that I had thought of ordering including some items out of stock online (ie suede Will jacket)

If you like Sezane and you’re in the area, check it out! It’s a fun place with excellent customer service.
